Meditation
There are many ways, or steps, in the
Journey of Meditation and I believe that these are as individual as
we are.
One form of Meditation that is comfortable for
one person may not be the form preferred by another. So, in many ways our Journey in Meditation is a search
and a growing process not only in finding what we are comfortable
with, but also an opening up to the knowledge and understanding of
the practice of Meditation and its benefits to us, not only
Spiritually but also Physically.
For me, Meditation touches the whole being from
the inside out. I remember once I asked my teacher the 'Why'
question and her reply to me was "Mandy, this is the time and the
opportunity to listen to your God".
You can work in silent prayer and you can learn
to listen not only with your ears but with your heart and your whole
being. It also enables you to learn to be comfortable within the
silence, for within the silence is the peace and relaxation we all
strive for on one level or another. I have found from my own
experiences and the experiences of the people that sit regularly in
the groups I am involved with, the differences between when people
arrive at the groups, how their energy changes during the
Meditations and the difference to their persona when they leave to
go home.
It never ceases to amaze me, how they respond.
I use a visualisation technique that leads them on their way, thus
giving the mind a Journey to take so the thoughts are occupied and
they are not busy wondering about lunch or what is happening here or
there. Then slowly as we proceed they let their mind go and their
own inner Journey begins, for some the experiences are quite
emotional, for others they feel like heavy loads have been lifted
from them, others feel complete and total relaxation, others find
the clarity that they have been searching for, others feel and
experience the healing energy moving through and around
them.
So many different reactions to the same
visualisation, but all powerful for the individual concerned, there
are so many different experiences, these are but a few. And yes, for
some they have communicated with their God. We are also becoming
much more aware of the importance of Meditation as a tool for the
benefits of physical relief. It is being proven daily as being of
great benefit in the reduction of pain and is showing itself to be
of great help in the healing process of many and varied illnesses.
It is brilliant for stress and tension relief and an excellent aid
in relaxation.
As mentioned previously there are many and varied forms of
Meditation from just sitting in the silence, using meditative music,
working with sound or mantras, focusing on a particular object such
as a candle, a crystal, a mandala, (especially one you may have
created yourself) the use of creative guided visualisation, T.M.
etc. For me I like the visualisation or guided meditation as it
enables me to take myself and others into the space of quiet, leave
them to experience for themselves for a short while and then return
them to the physical conscious level, so normal everyday life can
resume.
This is why I decided to connect with a dear
musician friend of mine in Christchurch New Zealand and together we
created a CD called 'Journey of Discovery'. Since then I have also
had the pleasure of meeting and working with Pete Ahh another joyous
inspiration, to create another guided meditation CD called Guided
Meditations with Amanda Rose. Two very talented people and two very
different CD's.
Both of which have received good feedback
within the community, even being used in hospitals for stress
release - amazing. I feel very blessed to be connected with such
beautiful people.

The Light of Love
A Journey of
Discovery - Meditation

(Allow yourself 20-30 mins of quiet time to
enjoy this Meditation)
Find yourself a nice
quiet spot, out in nature, maybe under a tree, by a gentle
running stream, or by the ocean. If indoors, then somewhere where you won't
be disturbed, phone of the hook, including your mobile.
Make sure your clothing is
comfortable and loose, have a cushion or comfy chair, not one you
can fall asleep in. Light your candle & incense or essence
burner.
Put on your music then sit
and relax, just allow yourself to breathe gently and deeply,
allowing the breath to move right through your body, releasing and
relaxing every muscle, every organ, every aspect of your
physicality, releasing all the tensions and issues of your day, from
the tips of your toes to the top of your head.
Breathing gently, deeply,
keeping the focus on the breath, following it as it moves through
your physical being, gently allowing yourself to let go and release,
let go and release.
Now as you gently let the
music wash over you I want you to just close your eyes, continuing
to breathe deeply, taking in with each breath the colour pink, as
you take this energy into your being, you find the muscle tone in
your body releases even more. Let the muscles go, let them
completely relax, you feel totally at ease as you continue to
breathe this beautiful colour of pink right in throughout your
being. Just relax until you feel in tune with the energy of the
sounds of the music.
Now, as you continue to
breathe the energy of pink so you can feel the very essence of your
being filling with light, let this light move through you and beyond
you, right out into your auric field, reaching into every aspect of
your being, from the inside out.
Sit now and just bathe
yourself for a few minutes, in this wondrous light and sound.
(5mins) In this state of complete relaxation, allow yourself to
release down through the soles of your feet, long beautiful strong
roots of pink energy, down deep into Mother Earth, down deep, now
find yourself a beautiful pink Rose Quartz Crystal, search it out,
there, there it is, now wrap those roots of yours around the
Crystal, and as you do so, you can feel that pure unconditional love
come back to you from this being of the Earth.
The love and upliftment
just pours through you, and as you start to receive the love of the
Earth and Mother nature, so the energy moves through you,
replenishing, nurturing, uplifting, healing.
As your energy fills with
this beautiful Earth energy, so above your crown you see a glowing
ball of golden white light, and in your mind you reach up to touch
this light, and as you do so it flows down, down like a gentle
waterfall, you can feel yourself being completely filled and
embraced by this magnificent golden white light, you can feel the
love and the protection of the heavens all around and through you.
You are now embraced by the energy of all that is, you are filled
with the light, the love and the energy of all life. Allow yourself
to embrace it with every aspect of your being. Stay as long as you
feel comfortable.
Then when you are ready,
slowly start to bring yourself back into the now, becoming familiar
with your physical being once more, drawing your energy back within
your beingness, feeling the muscle tone returning into your body,
moving your hands and your feet and dropping your energy down, back
down anchoring yourself once more on Mother Earth.
Gently open your eyes and
become familiar once more with your surroundings. Rest for a few
minutes, and have yourself a long drink of water. Then when you are
ready, go about your day.
Feeling refreshed and
balanced.
